SCHOOL BUS SCRAPBOOK

I've been working on this project for quite a while now.  I would pick it up and add a bit here and there. And then one day..... I realized that it had to be done for several reasons.
1.  The School Year has ended.
2.  The DSP I am using ( I am Me) is retiring!
2. The new Annual Catalog & DSP are available June 2, 2014.

There is no reason to panic.... the Designer Series Papers are AWESOME and will work well with this same idea!

You know I love punch art!  I incorporated it with the student's tags.  Each child is on it's own tag and can be taken out, written on or add a picture to. Every page has lots of tags and real estate to journal on or to add comments from student's and teachers.  I will probably add a few more things to the pages ( more punch art!), but was at a point that I could share it with you.

The pocket pages measure 10 1/4" x 5 3/4". The front & back covers are made out of Coaster Board (129392). Coaster Board measures 6" x 12" with 8 sheets per package.  The Bus is 6" x 12" and then cut with an exacto knife.

I used book binding rings to bind the pages.  I found them at the Office supply store. I lined up the pages and punched the holes with a Crop a dile.

I love all the tags and inserts and pockets.  There is room for everyone and everything to remember the school year.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! & NEW PRODUCTS

Do you see some new product?  The card base is Blackberry Bliss and is a rich yummy color, and the complimenting color is  Hello Honey.  I am excited to have them as part of the 5 new In Colors for 2014-16.  I also used the sentiment from the Stamp Set  Something to Say. I also have fallen in LOVE with the Satin Ribbons, they handle so well to make a beautiful bow or knot.
You can join us at Can You Case It with a card or project!  This week's design is open for lots of options for you to design from.  You don't have to limit yourself to a "Star", any shape can be your focal point! I chose an Origami Square cut 4" x 4" and folded on the diagonal to the center. The Hello Honey was cut 3" x 3".

Don't be bashful, add your card to our CYCI20!

BEE HIVE CARD

I am happy to report that even though this "BEE" is part of the retiring Hostess Set- Postage Collection, we will have a NEW BEE in another stamp set that will be available June 2, 2014!  I shared with you last week that I was going to show you another card using the Hexagon Hive Thinlit.  Fitting for a Million & One Stamp Set is the number of bees that come out of a hive!

I usually like adding a piece of lighter Card Stock on the inside of my cards when I use a darker card base.  Just adding a little bee inside keeps the inside as interesting as the outside.  I also added a bee to the envelope- for anticipation of what's inside!

Stamp Set:  Million & One, Postage Collection (HS)
Ink:  Stazon Black, Daffodil Delight Marker
Card Stock;  Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Very Vanilla, DSP- Pattern Paper Brights & Neutrals
And More:  Petite Petals Punch, Oval Framelits, Label Collection Framelits, Rhinestones, Project Life Journaling Pens

SWEET PRESSED COOKIE STAMPS & GIFT BAG!

Yes, you can even stamp on COOKIE DOUGH!   Two new Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps will be offered in the new Annual Catalog that will go LIVE on June 2, 2014.  Check page 199 when you get your catalog!  I used the Cookie Press that was available for demonstrators for today's project.  I followed the recipe for Sugar Cookies that come with the Silicone Cookie Press molds.

I have a tip to share with you.... I divide & weigh the dough before rolling into the balls, rolling them in sugar, dipping the stamp in sugar, and pressing them on the airbake cookie sheet.  Each dough ball is 1.5 ounces.  They bake even and are uniform in size. Each batch bakes 16 cookies.

The Chevron Gift Bag is decorated with the Gift Bow using the DSP Soho Subway and the Angle Tag Topper gift tag. This was the 3D project we made for May's Card Class. The Bows are made using Glue Dots.  I gave each class attendee a "Thank you" Cookie to put inside and another one to eat while at class!

Stamp Sets:  Chalk Talk
Ink:  Crushed Curry, Early Espresso
Card Stock:  Very Vanilla, DSP- Soho Subway
And More:  Gift Bow Bigz Die, Angled Tag Topper Punch, Small Heart Punch, Early Espresso Ribbon, Chevron Gift Bag

TIMELESS TALK VINTAGE BIKE

Love the color combo?  Raspberry Ripple & Midnight Muse will be retiring the end of May.  Some of the In Colors that we've used for since 2012 are already ran out!  I guess "while supplies last" orders has put some empty shelves at the Stampin' Up! Warehouse!  This is the first time that I've used the Bike from the Stamp Set Timeless Talk.  I took the 3/4" Circle Punch to punch out a second stamped image for the bike's rear tire and popped it up on a Stampin' Dimensional for the 3D effect.  This was part of May's Card Class trio of cards.

On the front panel and inside I used the background stamp World Map.  I didn't stamp the entire image but lightly rubbed the Very Vanilla Card Stock over the stamp while it layed on the table face up- only picking up parts of the image.

Stamp Sets:  Timeless Talk, World Map
Ink:  Midnight Muse, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede
Card Stock:  Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple
And More:  Vanilla Seam Binding, Vintage Trinkets, Mini Brads, Pretty Print Embossing Folder, 3/4" Circle Punch, Word Window Punch

PLEASANT POPPIES WITH HEXAGON HIVE

There's a lot of fun stuff going on here!  The Hexagon Hive Thinlit is going to be one of my favorites, I can already feel it!  You will be seeing some more cards with it in the near future! (no I don't have psychic powers.... I already made another card to post later!)

Join us at CYCI 18 with Thank You Cards!

Here are some fun deets about the card.....  it's stamped Pleasant Poppies with Stazon Black on DSP and then colored them in with Crisp Cantaloupe, Tangerine Tango, & Pear Pizzazz. Then run it through the Big Shot with the Hexagon Hive Thinlit.  Keep the PIECES from the hexies to pop up on Stampin' Dimensionals.  I only put the hexies with a colored image back on the card front!

Stamp Sets:  Pleasant Poppies
Ink:  Stazon Black, Markers- Crisp Cantaloupe, Tangerine Tango, Pear Pizzazz
Card Stock:  So Saffron, DSP- Neutrals
And More:  Angled Tag Topper Punch, Hexagon Punch, Seam Binding Vanilla Ribbon, Hexagon Hive Thinlit.

Make a thank you card and post it at CYCI 18 then send it to someone who did something special for you!

COLORING DOWN THE LINES BLOG HOP

Seeds

Displaying NEW CDTL 5 - 7 - 2014_2_2-001.jpg

We're switching to images!  They finished the Color Coach Combos and Robbie is continuing hosting the Blog Hop.  Thank you Robbie! I am following JONI this week.  We don't see each other's projects until the day you do, so I will be hopping along with you!  After me is LIZ .  Please continue on and if you are inspired, we would all love to hear from you!  Thank you for stopping by!

I took a whimsical literal interpretation of the photo and using my Petite Petals Punch and Petite Petals Stamp Set, I layered TONS of flowers for this bouquet card.  Even the Garden Green leaves are a flower stamp just snipped to make them, and tuck them under the Wisteria Wonder Flowers.

Stamp Set:  Petite Petals
Ink:  So Saffron, Crisp Cantaloupe, Garden Green, Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, Tempting Turquoise
Card Stock:  Whisper White, So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise
And More:  Rhinestones, Scallop Trim Border Punch

SINGLE LAYER CARD FLOWERING FLOURISHES

This is one of the most challenging cards for me - a SINGLE LAYER CARD. No bows, no buttons, no ribbons, no layers. Using the Acrylic Block to make a background stamp gave this card some depth. The technique was featured on Stampin' UP!s YouTube video channel.

CAN YOU CASE IT? At CYCI 17 we are featuring Single Layer Cards for this week's challenge.  Give it a try, case it or try one of the other designer's cards and post it for us to be inspired by you!

Stamp Set:  Flowering Flourishes, Perfectly Penned
Ink:  Stazon Black, Markers & Reinkers - Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding
Card Stock:  Whisper White (yep, that's it!)
And More:  Acrylic Block D, Aqua Painter, Spritzer, Note Cards

WORK OF ART SNEAK PEEK!

Stampin' UP! has a new Annual Catalog that will go LIVE on June 1, 2014!  Here is a stamp set Work of Art that we got when we went to the Catalog Premiere Show last Monday. I know you cant see all the separate pieces but it has 4 brush stroke stamps, a couple of sentiments, zig zags, a circle and a heart.  There are 11 stamps in all.  This isn't a set that I would have looked at and probably been drawn to purchase, but I am tickled to have gotten it and love the images and the finished card.

The frame was made using the Square Framelits.  I stamped on Whisper White and then cut out the frame using 2 of the squares. I placed a Window Sheet (clear acetate sheet) to mimic the glass in a picture frame over the art & under the frame. The additional heart was cut out an placed on the outside of the frame.  Yummy Bright Candy Dots are dancing off the the page.

Stamp Set:  Work of Art
Ink:  Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Burmuda Bay, , Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango
Card Stock:  Whisper White
And More:  Square Framelits, Bright Candy Dots, Window Sheet.
