PETITE PETALS FLOWER STAMP AND PUNCH

I used this card for a swap.  The background on the upper white panel is done by using the Stencil and the Sponge daubers.  I Stenciled an entire 8 1/2" x 11" sheet and then cut it down to fit the card panel.  I got 8 panels from one sheet of Card Stock.  I really appreciate having a Petite Petal Punch to coordinate with the Petite Petal Flowers.

Ink:  Momento Black, Project Life Black Journaler

The Hearts were made with the Heart Border Punch and then colored using our new Alcohol Markers- Blendabilities!  To avoid ruining the tips, I tapped, tapped, tapped on the Silver Shimmer Paper.

Inside is the sentiment from the Hostess Set Hello Love- it says "You Make Me Happy"

DOOR DECOR AT CONVENTION

This is my door decoration that I made for our recent Stampin' UP! Convention.  Last year I made one using a dry erase board. This year I used a lid from a cookie tin.  I premade the spiral flowers and assembled it with a hot glue gun when I arrived in Salt Lake City.  I chose the tin lid so that I could attach accessories with magnets.  I hung it on the door using the 3M velcro strips.  They are so easy to hang and  remove.

The DSP used is Moonlight. 48 sheets in ea. stack: 4 ea. of 12 double-sided designs. 4-1/2" x 6-1/2". Acid free, lignin free. Basic Gray, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Sahara Sand, Whisper White. I used Stampin' Up!s Spiral Flower Bigshot Die.

GARDENIA INSPIRED FELT FLOWER

My patio Gardenia Tree bloomed last week!  I had 4 open and lots more buds ready to bloom!  The fragrance is awesome!  I picked one of the blooms and brought it inside the kitchen to enjoy!

Out of the beauty came the idea to make some Double Spiral Flowers using the Big Shot Die and white felt. You can make 2 flowers out of one piece of felt.  Each flower is 2 Spirals.

I will make a video when I return from Salt Lake City- Stampin' Up! Convention 2014.

From here I decided to make it into a pin for a jacket, sweater, purse, or scarf.  I bought the pin backs at a big box store. After that.... I made several for Addy to wear on her head bands.  Then followed 2 toned and patterned felt with solids... You know I just went a little bit crazy!

Pin back with  a felt circle to finish it off neatly.

The final look for today is the addition to the Facinator.  Donna has supplied several of us demos in the past with these beautiful facinators.  They have an alligator clip on the back to easily wear in our hair.  It is amazing how one head piece can be picked out of a crowd of 4000 at Convention!  We kept our facinators from last year and we had a Spruce-n-Up! party  to fluff them up with more feathers and we all made the Double Spiral Flowers to doll them up.

(HEART) THE BEST!

We will be posting only 1 card for a two week challenge at Can You Case It?.  Many of the design team will be going to Salt Lake City for Stampin' Up!s annual Convention.  You can CASE my card, use the layout or Pick A Page of your own to inspire us! I picked Page 189 from the Inspire Create & Share Catalog.  It is full of Collections and Accessory Packs from our new line Project Life!  Did you hear that Stampin' Up! & Becky Higgins joined up on this adventure together?  I have made some Scrapbook pages that I will share with you another time using Project Life.  Don't get stuck on thinking they are only for scrapbooking! Today I took some of the cards out of the Everyday Adventure Collection and Accessory Pack to make this colorful card. Shhhhhhhhh....  I will be leaving this for my husband as I travel to SLC.  If you spoil the surprise.... I won't share early again!  (he will never see this blog, nor knows what a blog is!).

I used another card from the collection to add a note inside.  Original size of this card was 4" x 6", cut down to 4" x 5 1/4"

Card Stock:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Island Indigo
And More:  Project Life Everday Adventure Card Collection 135298, Accessory Pack 135301, Heart Border Punch, Bakers Twine

WOO HOO! YOU DID IT!

We are working with a SKETCH CHALLENGE picked by Eva  at Can You Case It-  CYCI 26. I rotated my card 90* to fit my sentiment from the BRAVO stamp set. I am really liking the Photopolymer Stamps. You can get perfect placement when you stamp because of the see through material and a clear block.

A look inside compliments the Woo Hoo! I added another arrow from Little Pieces Embosslits and left plenty of room to add my note or a gift card.

Can you add a card or project to our CYCI 26 Challenge so we can be inspired by you?

HEY THERE! MY PAPER PUMPKIN STAMPS

Time to dust off the old stamps and give them some LIFE!  I took several stamps from My Paper Pumpkin Kits and created today's card.  The greeting- "hey there friend" and stamped circle shapes were in various kits through out the year.  It's exciting to get the Paper Pumpkin Projects in the mail and assemble them but it's a shame not to use what I have on hand to create more cards using those stamps.  I keep all my stamps in a Clear Case. Some are Photopolymer, some are Clear Mount.

If you follow Stampin' Up's! blog  you may have seen it there!  I participated in a challenge in which my card was chosen and I get to have a $50 shopping spree! Woo Hoo! I am making my list!

Stamp Set:  My Paper Pumpkin
Ink: Basic Black, So Saffron, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz
Card Stock:  Whisper White, Basic Black, So Saffron, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz
And More:  Tasteful Trim, Circle Punches, Candy Dots- Subtles
