CAN YOU CASE IT?  This week is the In Colors 2012-2014 Challenge.  I chose to run the whole color line!  Gumball Green, Primrose Petal, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse & Raspberry Ripple. If you are new to Stampin' Up! & their color line here's the scoop.....

Every year there is 5 colors chosen that will have a 2 year run.  They come in Ink, Refills, Cardstock, Ribbon, Buttons (or accessory) & Markers. So each year there are 10 total In Colors.  One set of 5 is discontinued each year while the other set continues with a new run of colors.  The colors used in today's card will be replaced June 1, 2014.  If you LOVE Gumball Green like I do, you will want to stock up before the supply runs out.

The box card flattens and easily slips into the standard envelope.

On the back, I add a white piece of cardstock so you can include a little note for the receiver.

A Fitting Occasion Stamp Set

A card to celebrate someone's life and passing.  I liked like the flow of the hummingbird and flowers in the Background Stamp Wildflower Meadow.  I decided to layer the sentiment Memories and add another hummingbird to the tag.  A few Pearls here and there were to add some additional elegance to the card- a precious gem for someone precious to remember.

I am honored to be asked to join the Design Team at CAN YOU CASE IT (CYCI).  Do you need some ideas or want to join in the challenges?  Stop by meet the Design Team and see the cards for inspiration and add your entry to play along.

Have you used our Aqua Painter & Re-inkers to make splatters? It's a fun technique to add to your card. Place a few drops of reinker on a piece of cellophane.  Dip your wet tip Aqua Painter in the ink drops.  Tap the Aqua Painter against your finger over your paper to splatter little drops. Test it on scratch paper to get the technique down. This card features paper from the Sale a Bration Brochure- Sweet Sorbet. Just a reminder that SAB ends March 31. Spend $50 in product and pick out a SAB item for free.

Stamp Set:  Really Good Greetings
Ink:  Stazon Black, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party
Card Stock:  Whisper White, DSP- Sweet Sorbet (SAB)
And More:  Butterfly Punch, Corner Rounder, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border, Brights Buttons, Aqua Painter, Rhinestone, Chevron EF, Label Collection Framelits

Tip:  I stamped the greeting with Pool Party Ink on Pool Party Cardstock and then punched out the butterfly.

The idea for this card is from the Annual Catalog.

My sister has gotten me addicted to the ruffle yarn and making these ruffle scarves! I use a crochet hook and can finish a whole skein within 2 hrs.  I added a gift wrap label to get it ready to give as a gift.  It's another great way to use the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.

This scarf is 10 feet long.  I double it and double it again and wrap it around, it makes a beautiful accessory and is functionally warm on our cold Nebraska winter days.

Different brands of ruffle yarn at the big box and craft stores.  There are lots of videos out there demonstrating how to crochet or knit these scarves- just do a search on YouTube.
