UP UP & AWAY! BALLOONS

It's been a loooong hot summer in the Midwest & my dear husband works everyday outside.  I thought he would like to know he is appreciated- SO this is for him!  Words & Cards will never express what he does for in behalf of our family.  I hope you have someone to share a card with that you appreciate.   I got some assistance from the Paper Players PP110 Sketch Challenge.  A card need not be complicated- Stamps, Ink, & Paper..... ok, and a little bling!

THEY SAY.......

Who ever THEY are....... most of the time THEY are believable.  That's the beauty of cliches', you can quote them over and over and over again.  Today's card is made with From My Heart stamp set and the Designer Fabric from the Holiday Mini  Orchard Harvest.  The rosette is so easy to make with our Sticky Circles and a 3" x 12" strip of fabric. I covered a 3/4" x 4 1/4" strip of card stock with the same fabric to make the striped layer.

I used the sketch that Freshly Made FMS #50  has for this week's challenge.  I rotated the design so that it wasn't top heavy. AUGUST CARD CLASS & Going Away Party

These cute little gift cards, envelopes and gift box were made using the Ronald McDonald House Charity Set- Moving Forward.  I focused all the projects for August's Card Class using this stamp set.  Stampin' Up! donates $3 per set sold to the RMHC and I offered an incentive to my class for an additional $3 off their class if they purchased the set.  We also made this with 2 of my sisters and 2 nieces & 1 nephew on Saturday Night while having a going away party for my DAD who moved to Detroit this weekend.  My sister and her family will be blessed with him & we will miss him here!

This is ONE of my favorite fabrics from Stampin' Up! It is called Floral District.  I have added insulation to keep my drinks cool & to use it for a water or soda. The back side has a clip to add it to a bag. The closure is a drawstring double cord clip.  (that's my name for it!)  I have some more fabric samples to show you..... but another time.
