WHIMSICAL CALENDAR COLLAGE- WINTER INSERTS

 

I've used these Collage Frames in the past for a monthly calendar (HERE) and a kitchen counter recipe collage (HERE).  I decided to switch it up again for a

Whimsical Seasonal Calendar Collage.

These inserts are for the Winter months- January, February, & December. All 3 Calendar pages are in the frame #3- attached with a brad and a paper clip- easily changed out each month and you can add next year's calendar to the inserts- so you can use this again and again!

TULLE FLOWER PIN IN CRUMB CAKE

 

I recently posted the Tulle Flower Pin in Cherry Cobbler and the VIDEO to see how easy it is to make.  Today I am posting it in the Crumb Cake.  It looks great on black, red, navy, browns, & creams.  The Tulle  is available as long as the Holiday Mini is live- January 2, 2013.

 

I've been wearing mine on Jackets & Sweaters.

FABULOUS FLORETS in MELON MAMBO

 

This card was CASed from my friend GALE.  She used Basic Gray, Poppy Parade and Old Olive and another gorgeous flower stamp set.  Instead of Poppy- I used Melon Mambo Ink and DSP Patterned Paper, I also used my Fabulous Florets Stamp Set .  What sets do you have to try using in this sketch design? What colors would you like to try? The sky's the limit!

TRIFOLD SNOWMAN

 

I was recently at a Quilt Shop and was inspired by a pattern there for the cutest snowman.  I bought the pattern, and tweeked the idea to make this Trifold Snowman Card. Below is another snowman with the card folded to ship in it's envelope.  It should get a few smiles and make someone's day!

MORE BABY CARDS

 

 

This is my FAVORITE Stamp Set to use for baby cards.  I made several of them up a few weeks ago for some new arrivals. Just by making few minor color changes, it can be custom made for a baby boy or girl. The Two by Two Stamp is a single stamp, I trimmed off the "congratulations!" to use separately.

TULLE FLOWER RIBBON PIN & VIDEO

 

This lovely Flower Pin was made using the Cherry Cobbler Tulle Ribbon from the Holiday Mini Catalog. It looks stunning on a Jacket, Sweater, Purse, a Gift Bag or Present. The Tulle also comes in 2 other colors- Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.  They would make gorgeous Flowers too.  Watch the video and you can see how easy it is to make them.

 

 

SNOWMENT TEA LIGHTS

 

I want to give credit to Becky Roberts for posting her darling tea lights! It was a delight to make these at our November's card class.

 

Tip:  Color your Pearls with a permanent marker (Sharpie). You can color your rhinestones too!

DESIGNER ROSETTE DIE SNOWMAN

 

 

This was soooo much fun to make!  I'm sure you've noticed my facination with snowmen!

AND I love the Big Shot Bigz Die- Designer Rosette. I made the Pumpkin a few years ago, without the Bigz Die, and let me tell you, I made this in a fraction of the time! If you don't have the Rosette Die, you can make it too, by scoring each strip 1/2".

 

The finished Snowman measures 13" tall x 7" wide

 

Recipe:

Whisper White Card Stock
3- 3" x 11" Strips (body)
6- 2.5" x 11" Strips ( 1- body, 1- head)
3- 2" x 11" Strips (head)

Brights & Neutrals Buttons
Onboard Sheets (Hat & Brim)
Orchard Harvest Fabric
Linen Thread
Rhinestones
Brad- Brights
Black Felt (Hat & Brim)

Designer Rosette Die
Top Note Die
Fun Flowers Bigz L Die ( hat flower)

Run the Whisper White Strips thru the Big Shot using the Designer Rosette Bigz XL Die. Accordian Fold and attach 3 strips together and form a Rosette.  I used a hot glue gun and my Silicone Craft Sheet to form each  Rosette.

Tip:  Nose is layered buttons tied with linen thread then topped with a brad.- LOVE IT!

ENGLISH IVY STATIONERY AND PERSONALIZED MONOGRAM STAMP

 

A fun way to step up the English Ivy Stationery Set is to add a stamp image and your own Monogram Stamp.  We add Stylin' Snowman in Soft Suede and using the blender pen and Crumb Cake  to add shadow and texture. I made a folder to hold my envelopes and notes.

ORCHARD HARVEST GOODIE JAR

 

This beautiful fabric is available in the Holiday Catalog and available for purchase until Jan. 2, 2013. It's called Orchard Harvest and is made with the warm yummy colors for Fall.  I filled the jar with miniture candy bars to give for a gift.  It is a simple and quick to put together, and yet adorable!
