PAPAYA COLLAGE SYMPATHY

Some of the best samples are found in Stampin' Up!s Annual Catalog.  I CASED this card from page 62.  I made some changes.  I used the Color Coach and selected the color combo- Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz & Blushing Bride.  I also omitted the sewing and added Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.  A few tweeks with the supplies you have on hand and your design is done.

Stamp Set:  Papaya Collage, Thoughts and Prayers
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky, Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand
Card Stock: Soft Sky, Whisper White
And More:  Buttons, Linen Thread, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.

3D SNOWMAN CARD & VIDEO

We got some snow with the frigid cold weather in the last 24 hours. Perfect day to stay inside and make a card & video to share!  The outside is lovely with a 3D snowflake, but the inside is delightful with a 3D Snowman. I chose to use a belly band for the front of the card because of the tendency of the layered inside card is to not stay closed.

DARE TO DREAM & WEDNESDAY'S BLOG HOP & STAMPIN' UP! SALE

SEE BELOW FOR THE 1 DAY ONLY SALE (NOV. 20 - 3 SUPER ITEMS)   AND OTHER ITEMS ON SALE TIL DEC. 2

WELCOME BLOG HOPPERS!

I joined Robbie & her demo group this week on their Color Down the Lines with a twist! Each "hopper" is adding a "NEW TO YOU TECHNIQUE".  You may have arrived from JONI's BLOG.

The color combo choices were:

 1.  Perfect Plum, Marina Mist, Rose Red
                          OR
 2.  Perfect Plum, Early Espresso, Whisper White

I chose combo #2 and the technique is - SHAVING CREAM!

My first attempt years ago didn't result into a card- I just scrapped it until now. So my second attempt is shown in today's card.

I put some Foam Shaving Cream in a plastic container (our old stamp cases work great!) and used the Reinkers- Perfect Plum and Early Espresso- and squeezed several drops all over the cream then swirled it with a toothpick. I placed the Whisper White Card Stock on the shaving cream.  I picked it up and placed it on a paper towel and used a ruler's flat edge and scraped off the excess shaving cream. I decided to re-dip it in the shaving cream again to get a more detailed background.  It needed to dry before cutting up and layering it on card.  I have to say that my card smells like shaving cream, so I decided to make it a "manly card".

Stamp Sets:  The Open Sea, Gorgeous Grunge, World Map, Loving Thoughts.

It's been awhile since I made some Milk Cartons- 117310.  These were our 3D project for November's Monthly  Card Class.  They are filled with Chocolate Kisses and has a Sparkling Glimmer Brad for a closure. I loved the Silver Snowflake tags that matches the  Kisses inside. Complimenting the DSP Winter Frost 132183 is Pool Party and Island Indigo.

Awe.... this lil' guy looks like he has monster chicken pox!  He is super cute! Maybe Harrison will love getting him this week in the mail! The DSP is Season of Style from the Holiday Mini Catalog and the stamp set is Monstermaniacs ( 134972 clear mount only).

I used the Circles Framelits to make the open frame.

DRESS UP POP & CUTS

Afternoon Picnic Designer Series Paper is the highlight of this card.  It features the Pop 'n Cut - Card Base (130099) and Dress Up (130100) Dies. The surprise inside delights the recipient too! My husband was impressed and that is remarkable for a guy who just doesn't get the "paper" thing!  Gotta love the guy!

I covered the mantle with a piece of paper and used the Ornament Punch for a vase.

The Hexagon Punch compliments the pattern in the DSP.

GLUB! GLUB! FISH BOWL

We had card class last week, and although the attendance was low, we really had a fun time making a few of cards with lots of fun techniques. There is nothing like having a few friends over to play with stamps, ink, paper & HAIR GEL!  Gotta get the gel at the dollar stores- they produce bubbles that last inside the baggie.  I used a small ziplock jewelry bag for the class. The Stamped image was colored in using the blender pen and ink pads.

The idea for this layout came from the Annual Catalog page 58 using the stamp set  Fishin' Around. Below is my sample using the Treat Cup, water and Dazzling Diamonds. I like the addition of Candy Dots on the punched out greeting.

P.S. Love you Roxi & Donna for cheering me on!
